5. Prepare 1/4 tsp. of asafoetida (hing).
6. You need 1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder.
7. You need 6-7 of garlic cloves, chopped.
8. Prepare 1 tsp. of ghee to serve.
9. You need to taste of salt.

Slice each piece of bitter gourd into fairly thin half-moon shape. Transfer them to a colander and sprinkle the salt over. Shake the bag or bowl so that the seasoning is distributed evenly over the pieces. Heat the oil in a wok, and fry the bitter gourd pieces in batches to a crisp brown.
